Family Assistance Center
FACs have an important one-stop assistance and referral role for individual families. They are usually formed for major deployments. FACs provide linkages to Rear Detachment Command and the State Family Programs Office.

 

Military OneSource
Education, relocation, parenting, stress - you name it - Military OneSource is here to help you with just about any need. Available by phone or online, our free service is provided by the Department of Defense for active-duty, Guard, and Reserve service members and their families. The service is completely private and confidential, with few exceptions.

 

MN Dept. of Veterans Affairs
The MN Dept of Veterans Affairs assists Minnesota’s 410,000 veterans and their dependents to obtain the benefits and services provided by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, formerly called the Veterans Administration.

 

Online TRICARE Courses
TRICARE University (TRICAREU) offers free online courses 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year so you can learn about benefits or the latest changes.

 

Paralyzed Veterans of America
Paralyzed Veterans of America works to maximize the quality of life for its members and all people with SCI/D as a leading advocate for health care, SCI/D research and education, veterans’ benefits and rights, accessibility and the removal of architectural barriers, sports programs, and disability rights.

 

State of MN Health Care
Minnesota offers two health care programs for families: MinnesotaCare and Medical Assistence (MA). This healthcare option was created by the Minnesota Legislature for military members who recently completed or are completing an active tour of duty. This option allows them to exempt qualified military members who are enrolled in MinnesotaCare from paying premiums for coverage. TGSLI
Traumatic Servicemembers' Group Life Insurance (TSGLI) helps severely injured Soldiers through their time of need with a one-time payment. The amount varies depending on the injury, but it could be the difference that allows their family to be with them during recovery; helps them with unforeseen expenses; or gives them a financial head start on life after recovery.

 

Transitional Assistance for TRICARE Beneficiaries
The Transitional Assistance Management Program (TAMP) is temporary TRICARE coverage for certain separating active duty Servicemembers and their eligible family members. It provides 180 days of transitional health care benefits to help Servicemembers’ and their families’ transition to civilian life.

 

TRICARE
TRICARE is the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) health care entitlement for active duty, Guard and Reserve and retired members of the military, and their eligible family members and survivors. TRICARE's objectives are to optimize the delivery of health care services at military treatment facilities and supplement that with access to civilian health care networks where necessary.

 

TriWest
TriWest Healthcare Alliance is a privately held, Phoenix-based corporation that contracts with the DoD to administer TRICARE in the 21-state TRICARE West Region.
