CCME Scholarships

The Council of College and Military Educators is pleased to offer 10, $1,000 scholarships each year to United States Servicemembers and spouses of Servicemembers who are working towards the completion of higher education degrees.

Daniel Drevnick Memorial Fund

Scholarship established to assist veterans in the transition from military service to civilian law enforcement.

Tillman Military Scholars

Supports Servicemembers, veterans and their families by removing financial barriers to completing a degree program of choice. The scholarships cover not only direct, study related expenses such as tuition and fees, but also other needs.

When: Application will open Feb. 13, 2012, and end March 16, 2012

American Legion Nursing Scholarship

Awards $3,000 to established nurses wanting to advance their training in pediatric lung and respiratory diseases or to prepare for positions in clinical practice and management.

Family & Youth Scholarships

   

DRS Guardian Scholarship Fund

Provides up to $25,000 over a four year college education for children of Servicemembers who died while supporting OEF, OIF or OND.

SAT and ACT Test Prep Software for Military Families Worldwide

EKnowledge, the Department of Defense and several National Football League players have made available the $200 SAT and ACT PowerPrep Program to military Servicemembers and their extended families. The software comes in a single DVD and includes more than 11 hours of virtual classroom instruction.

Hero Behind the Hero Scholarship

Waldorf College will award five scholarships (four online and one residential) to the spouses and dependants of active military Servicemembers.

When: Application periods go through March of 2012

Military Spouse Scholarships

Helping to ease the financial burden that accompany pursuing a higher education for the spouses of all active duty, National Guard, Reserve and retired Servicemembers. Surviving spouses are also eligible.

FINRA Foundation Military Spouse Accredited Financial Counselor Fellowship

Will provide up to 200 military spouses with the education necessary to enter the financial counseling career field. The fellowship covers the costs associated with completing Accredited Financial Counselor training and tests. Current or surviving spouses of any Servicemember are eligible.

Internships and Other Resources

 

Military Extension Internship Program

An opportunity for college students to gain practical work experience in child development, school age and youth programs. Interns work on military installations around the world for 10 weeks to six months and receive a broad range of experiences.
